CAIRO, June 3 (KUNA) -- Egyptian President-elect Abdulfattah Al-Sisi said Tuesday the Egyptian people would play a crucial role in future, calling upon his fellow citizens to join him to achieving stability and security of the country.
Al-Sisi, in a televized speech after the High Presidential Election Commission announced his victory with 96.91 percent of votes, commended the Egyptian people for heading to the polling stations and said it was time now to work hard for a better future.
Addressig the Egyptian people, Al-Sisi said he has full confident in their ability to confront the challenges in order to achieve stability and progress.
The president-elect thanked all those who contributed to the elections, as well as thanking his opponent Hamdeen Sabahi
